Found out that one of my photos was just used in an article by NYC Magazine (on-line edition), "Top 10 Reasons to Visit New York City."
I guess people like my photos? I'm humbled that my work is being well-received and amused that the photo they used was of the mega toy store, FAO Schwartz. I'm a pretty big toy geek so it's an appropriate choice. :-D

Taking small risks for better rewards...
I've been recently helping to write up a "Convention Bible" with one of my old friends, Demmie. She asked for my input as 1) I've survived going to sci-fi/fantasy/anime/comic conventions for over 35 years. My writing has been covering things such as hygiene, healthier habits to keep up your energy at an event, "adult" activities (e.g., ranging from casual hook-ups to finding that one person you want to spend your life with and everywhere in-between), and cosplay etiquette. Considering one of my specialty areas in this sub-culture is photos and cosplay, it has me really thinking about and putting into words a lot of things I've seen that have been wrong or misguided to the things folks do that are dead-on right. The main thing I've been coming back to again and again is cosplay does not equal consent. No one owes me or any other photographers the privilege to take their photos. It was kind of a bitter pill to swallow as the first reaction is usually (for me), "Did I do something
I'm here on D/A not very often, so...
My updates and uploads are going to be pretty random as I feel this site is more for my artistic endeavors that I want to share with everybody.
... and my real life has been getting in the way of doing some of the things I love. Let's just say that I'm not the only person who is extremely happy that 2014 has come and gone as it was a sucky year.
Been playing with a new Photoshop program, Filter Forge, and I've been really happy with the results.
As always, comments and constructive critiques of my work are always appreciated. Or if you really love my stuff, some of it is available for purchase. (wink, wink) ;-)

Well, one of my photos is in the post. *Glee*

New photos and graphics uploaded
Decided to upload some of my more recent work (photos and digital art). Also created two folders in my gallery, Photography and Digital Art, to make it easier to look for stuff whenever I post something.
And I am very flattered that some folks have listed my work in their "favourites" or "collections." ^.^
